October is set to be a busy month for the Peak Indicators team, with three key events in the analytics’ calendar all on the near horizon. We’ll have representatives at Birst Forward, the FD Forum and Oracle Open World.
In addition, we’ve also begun planning for the 2018 HRD Summit, which will take place over two days in February early next year. We’d love to hear from you if you’d like to arrange a 1-2-1 with the Leadership Team at any of the events.
Oracle Open World
Held from October 1st – 5th, Oracle Open World brings together companies dedicated to using cloud technology for growth and innovation. Offering insight and education into key breakthroughs in the industry, this year’s event will be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
Peak Indicators’ Anthony Heljula will be leading a session on Sunday from 10:45 to 11:30, titled ‘Build Your Own Infographics Using Oracle Data Visualisation’. This is the same session he presented at Kscope Texas earlier in the year.
With Oracle Data Visualization having made a significant impact with its storyboard features, the session will demonstrate how to take these capabilities further using the Oracle Data Visualization software development kit.
Oracle Open World attendees should head to the Marriot Marquis (Yerba Buena Level) – Salon 2 to take advantage of the session.
Ahead of the event, you can watch our informative demo on how the InfoGraphicViz plugin can be used to display appealing graphic visuals in Oracle Data Visualisation.
Finance Directors Forum
Our Managing Director, Kenneth Neilson, will be in attendance at the Finance Directors’ Forum from 4th – 7th October. Taking place on the Arcadia boat, which will dock in Southampton, the event provides a high-level view of the finance industry; with predictive insights offered to help delegates plan future financial strategies.
It will be Kenneth’s third year in a row at the event, which revolves primarily around a series of 1-2-1 meetings. These are selected prior to the Forum commencing and we’d love to hear from anyone who’s keen to connect with us.
The final event we’re attending in October is Birst Forward EMEA, which will be held at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Offering a mix of technical information and networking opportunities, it plays host to Birst partners such as ourselves.
We’ll have a stand at the event and we’re looking to talk to people keen to see how Peak Indicators’ services could help complement and enhance their existing use of the Birst platform.

HRD Summit 2018
We also wanted to give advance notice that we’ll be back once again at the HRD Summit, with the 2018 event taking place on the 6th and 7th of February in Birmingham.
Ahead of this, we’re keen to arrange as many ‘Match Meetings’ as possible with those who’ll be in attendance next year.
In advance of the event, make sure to check out this podcast from our Technical Director Tony Heljula on the importance of analytics in workforce optimisation.
