John Lewis: Oracle E-Business Suite
At the time John Lewis were changing their source system and needed a team to assist in the transformation program. Peak were brought in to work alongside the John Lewis team and other consultancies to deliver against set project deadlines as they moved to Oracle e-business suite.
What Did Peak Indicators Do?
Alongside a number of third-party consultancies Peak worked to deliver to deadline, helped to develop strong communication skills in a complex model that required keeping many stakeholders informed during the delivery of the program.
Peak indicators were involved in the transformation delivery and a period of hyper care preceding it. As well as a full handover once the transformation moved into 'business as usual'. During this Handover Peak Indicators provided a full briefing and handover to John Lewis' offshore provider.
The reporting platform that was in place at the end of the program supported new processes for both HR and Learning. This platform enabled 60k people to move to a self-service holiday booking system, managed in real-time giving managers a view of department-level staffing enabling holiday authorization to be quick and robust. The reports and dashboards were embedded into an intranet portal along with other service providers to provide a one-stop-shop for employees.
The department level visibility also enabled analysis around learning and development. John Lewis were provided with visibility of what type of courses employees were taking and how long they were taking to complete them. John Lewis also gained visibility on trainer availability and therefore ensure that trainers didn’t have peaks and troughs in workload and that they had a steady flow of work instead.
