Andrew Ball, Chairman and Chief Operating Officer

Andy is co-founder of Peak Indicators and has over 20 years’ experience working in the BI & Data Warehousing industries. As Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of the company, Andy is responsible for overseeing the success of all of our Business Analytics and Digital Workplace subsidiaries. He previously operated as Peak Indicators’ Managing Director for 7 years.

Prior to establishing Peak Indicators, Andy’s past roles included BI Practice Director for Oracle UK and Practice Director for Siebel’s EMEA Analytics Competency Centre. This experience helped him to build up a wealth of knowledge around the business intelligence industry.

This is reflected by Andy’s role as External Industrial Advisor for the MSc Data Science course at The University of Sheffield. There he acts as an external advisor for the programme, whilst working closely with the academic team to shape the content of the course. Kenneth Neilson, Managing Director, UK

Kenneth has worked in the BI and Data Warehousing field for 20 years, during which time he has amassed extensive experience in the field. His knowledge was developed during spells with Unilever and Deloitte; in addition to other specialist BI consultancies.

Having gained experience in technical project delivery, working on over 20 life cycle projects, Kenneth moved into programme and account management. This saw him develop skills around building teams and working with clients to ensure they receive the best possible return on their BI investment.

Kenneth now puts his experience to use as Peak Indicators’ Managing Director, helping us to manage our business strategy and client delivery.  

Antony Heljula, Technical Director

Antony is an Oracle ACE for Oracle Business Analytics and one of Europe’s leading analytics architects. He has over 20 years’ experience working within Oracle BI and Data Warehousing and is one of the founding members of Peak Indicators, serving as our Technical Director. His expertise revolves around analytics, data science & machine learning, big data, databases, linux, infrastructure and virtualisation.

Antony cites his proudest career moments as Peak Indicators being awarded Oracle’s Cloud Analytics Partner of the Year in 2017 and the delivery of a large cloud platform hosting a global HR Analytics platform for 65,000 users at one of the world's largest banks.

More recently, Antony has taken a lead role in designing and delivering our new Tallinn Machine Learning platform that significantly reduces the skills and timescales involved with machine learning initiatives.

Antony regularly blogs on advanced analytics topics and his words have been featured in Oracle Scene, where he shared his views on changes in the analytics marketplace over the last decade. He was also quoted in the Wall Street Journal in February 2018 regarding his great work for one of our clients, ZS Wellness. You can read his latest views on analytics and Oracle BI on our blog.

David Hall, Services Director

As Peak Indicators’ Services Director, David has led our move towards agile analytics implementation. He also plays a vital role in the delivery and creation of services that enable the organisations we work with to navigate the transformation from legacy to modern analytics platforms.

Operating within Data Warehousing since 1999, David has built up a wide range of technical experience. Having initially worked on SAP programmes, he subsequently joined Siebel and Oracle. He was the Lead Architect responsible for driving the adoption of Siebel Analytics across multiple international projects in the UK and Australia.

We are at a tipping point in the Business Intelligence industry and David’s skill lies in positioning Peak Indicators to help you place analytics at the heart of your decision making. Paul Clough, Data Science Lead

Paul joined the Peak Indicators’ team in his role as Data Scientist in 2018. He helps us to develop data products and services, produce educational resources and grow our internal data science capabilities.

As an academic who’s worked for the University of Sheffield for nearly two decades, Paul continues to operate part-time as Professor of Search and Analytics at the university’s Information School. In addition to contributing to research and teaching activities, Paul’s time at the department has seen him occupy the role of Head of the Information Retrieval Group, Director of Research and MSc Data Science programme co-ordinator.

As part of his ongoing responsibilities, Paul continues to conduct research in areas including: information retrieval, data analytics and natural language processing/text analytics. In addition to his time with the University of Sheffield, his former experience also saw him work in R&D for British Telecommunications PLC.
