What the Peak Indicators Analytics Service can offer your business...

Many organisations struggle in deploying Business Analytics solutions. Balancing business user requirements (depth of data, capabilities and speed) with Central IT's requirements (quality, security and governance), can be very challenging.

The 'Peak Indicators Approach' of combining Value Based Design with Agile methods enables us to successfully deliver projects that meet the needs of both communities.

We have in-depth knowledge of data integration, data warehousing and analytics (descriptive, diagnostics, predictive and prescriptive). This coupled with our expertise in Analytics platforms such as Birst and Oracle, means we can address our customers’ requirements, be it on premise, hosted, or in the public cloud.

Our Analytics Architects have the knowledge and experience to enable organisations to progress beyond basic dashboarding and reporting to Advanced Analytics.  We have developed Advanced Analytics solutions in key areas such as Workforce Retention within Financial Services, Student Retention in Higher Education, and reducing 'Out of Stock' situations in Retail.

Analytics & Data Visualisation

Analytics is the discovery, interpretation, and communication of trends within data. Data visualization is the presentation of data in a pictorial or graphical format. It enables data analysts to see analytics presented visually, so they can grasp difficult concepts or identify new patterns. With interactive visualizations and dashboards, analysts can take a concept by drilling down into charts and graphs for more detail, interactively changing what data they see and how it’s processed.

At Peak we have over 250 years of combined experience helping businesses with analytics strategies and solutions. Allow us to unlock your potential and transform your business through greater decision making capability.

Data Integration

Peak Indicators offers a wide range of data integration services to bring together your relational, unstructured and cloud data sources.

Our integration services are also valuable to any Organisation wishing to enrich their existing Business Intelligence applications with 3rd party data such as social media feeds.

We are certified by Oracle as being "specialized" in Oracle Data Integrator and we have expertise across a range of proprietary and open source data integration technologies.

As well as delivering services for data warehouse platforms where data is typically updated overnight in batches, we have a wealth of experience implementing real-time reporting solutions that involve either micro-ETL or replication technologies to populate an Operational Data Store (ODS).

For customers moving into Big Data, we can deliver a private-cloud hosted Hadoop platform to serve as a data staging and processing layer.   The data can then be integrated with your on-premise BI platforms or even uploaded to the Oracle BI Cloud Service (BICS).

Predictive Analytics

Predictive analytics is the use of various techniques such as data mining, statistics, modelling or machine learning to analyse current data to make predictions about the future.  Peak offers ‘Predictions as a Service’ which is a powerful decision making platform that enables any organisation to leap into the world of Predictive Analytics without needing to recruit Data Scientists or making sizable hardware/software investments.

Birst also offers predictive analytics through its integration with R and WEKA. Peak Indicators can work with your organisation to understand your business case and your predictive modelling requirements. Through statistical and machine learning algorithms we can develop, interpret and evaluate the appropriate model for your business.

Graph Visualisations

BI tools are typically designed for analytical reporting (trends, patterns, comparisons etc), graph tools are specially designed to visualise the connections and relationships that exist within your data (the visualisations are made up of "nodes" and "edges").

The combination of BI and graph technologies offers a great way to view both summarised and detailed information at the same time, with the additional capability to explore and discover all the links between the various data entities.

Peak Indicators have teamed up with Linkurious to deliver some stunning graph visualisations within Oracle BI.

Other Peak Analytics Services

Unstructured Data

Unstructured data refers to information that either does not have a pre-defined data model or is not organised in a pre-defined manner. Unstructured information is typically documents rather than data stored in fielded form in databases. Hadoop is the ideal staging area for your unstructured/semi-structured data.

For example, we can integrate Twitter feeds, customer or employee reviews and even CVs into a Hadoop file system where we can then run further data processing and enrichment services

Maps & Spatial

An increasing number of organizations are reaching a point of maturity in their BI projects and need to get more value out of their historical data and attain a greater return on investment.

The combination of Oracle BI and Oracle Maps/Spatial opens the door to maximising the potential of your BI implementations, enabling more effective decision making and increasing levels of user adoption through improved analytical capability.
